![]() I loved the twitchy feel of the cars in the old school PS2 Need For Speed games, and in most arcade racers, there are options to make cars feel reminiscent to those games, but in this game, you just have to accept how it is. I'm OK with there not being any tuning options, but the game needs steering and throttle linearity settings at the very least to make the cars feel a little more personalised for every player. The biggest issue i have is that there's nothing you can really do to personalise the handling model of each car. It's a far better concept than forcing so many different cars on you all the time. Imagine if it was more like the COD Loadout system - where you pick a vehicle and you adjust it accordingly so that it plays nicely to your preferences. I hate the fact that modern racing games don't really encourage you to familiarise yourself with a particular vehicle and stick with it to get good with it - instead they just throw a hundred different vehicles and modes at you because they seem to think that everyone has ADD. Multiplayer is the same - you search for a game and it throws you in a random lobby in a random discipline for one race. It will be available on Xbox One, PS4, Stadia, and PC (Via Steam). ![]() The career mode switches from one discipline to the other in every race, so you don't really get the chance to get familiar with any vehicle of your choice before you have to move on to the next one. A precise date has not yet been announced, but earlier than later is most likely. It's fun to play for a few hours but has no real depth, grind or personalisation to keep you coming back. I know that when Dirt Rally 2.0 came out leaderboards were cross-platform and it was the same - anyone on another platform was just replaced with Dirt Player. The game was announced on, and released on Novemas one of the launch title for the Xbox Series X, making it the series' first game on the ninth-gen consoles. DIRT 5 is the eighth installment in the DiRT series developed by Codemasters.
